Membership in the Beta Tau Chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho is limited to the finest men Mississippi State has to offer. Traditionally, members of Alpha Gamma Rho have a tie to agriculture in some way; however, our membership is not limited to this criteria.

 

We currently have members from all over the southern United States. Our geographic reach extends from Lakeland, Florida to Houston, Texas and everywhere in between. 

 

Alpha Gamma Rho participates in Formal Spring and Fall Rush with the Inter-Fraternal Council at Mississippi State University. However, membership opportunities are not limited to these two windows

No. Alpha Gamma Rho has a brotherhood program that has replaced the traditional pledge process.

 

Do I have to be studying agriculture to join?

No. We consider all majors for membership.

 

Do I have to live in the house?

Living in the house is an experience that should not be missed. It is recommended that a member lives in the house during his sophomore and junior years.

 

Does the benefit of being in Alpha Gamma Rho stop after I graduate?

Absolutely not. Alpha Gamma Rho is a professional fraternity in addition to being a social fraternity. The professional benefits of being a part of Alpha Gamma Rho are immeasurable.

 

What does "Social and Professional Fraternity" mean?

This means that while Alpha Gamma Rho offers the social experience of being part of a fraternity, it also offers a professional development aspect. The members of Alpha Gamma Rho are extremely focused on securing a professional future, and use the national Alpha Gamma Rho network to enhance their academic and professional qualities.
